On May 20, our Executive Director, Sonia Pelletier, participated in a consultation day organized by Compétence Culture’s Chantier sur le filet social. In particular, she had the opportunity to present our proposal for a recurring and renewable living stipend for artists to a working group, ahead of the public release of the economic feasibility study.
During this event, our reflections and the richness of the discussions helped make this gathering an important moment of dialogue and mobilization for the future of artists, artisans, and cultural workers. The diversity of perspectives brought together allowed us to deepen our understanding of the issues and to fuel collective reflection on potential courses of action. This day marks a significant milestone in the process. The discussions and contributions gathered will inform the work in the coming months and help shape recommendations grounded in the realities of the cultural sector.
