On June 17, the Montreal Arts Council invited us to its annual meeting, which coincided with the release of its 2025 Annual Report. The Council reviewed a final year marked by significant challenges and achievements, particularly in areas of equity, strengthening Montreal’s artistic ecosystem, socio-ecological transition, and philanthropic development.

Through this review, the Council assessed the progress made throughout its 2022-2025 strategic plan, guided by its vision: to position the CAM as a leader and catalyst for a more inclusive, sustainable, and resilient Montreal artistic ecosystem, benefiting the entire population.

This meeting held special significance, as the Council celebrated seven decades of commitment to artistic innovation and Montreal’s creative expression, while also marking the transition to a new chapter with the 2026-2030 strategic plan – Arts for the World for Everyone, unveiled earlier this year.
