Abstract
This study intended for the Conseil de la formation continue Arts et culture de l’Île-de-Montréal (Council for Continuing Education Arts and Culture of the Island of Montreal) (CFC) proposes a reflection for the development of an optimal offer of transversal training for the different categories of trades and professional sectors represented within this regional consultation and coordination body. The study particularly highlights the issues and coordination needs involved in the development of such an offer in the cultural sectors. The research is based on the results of individual interviews and focus groups with managers of the organization and coordinators of training activities, as well as on the analysis of documentation and administrative data. The first part presents a review of relevant studies in the context of the digital transition and the health crisis. A second part describes the context, environment, and structures of the CFC, focusing on its recent crosstraining offer. A final section presents the results of discussions with two groups of training coordinators. The conclusion summarizes the results and presents elements for reflection and possible solutions to improve the management of the training offer and to allow the development of its cross-cutting component.
