Abstract
This study provides an analysis of the financial situation and human resource expenditures of the sixty-four artist-run centres that, in March 2023, were members of the Regroupement des centres d’artistes autogérés du Québec (RCAAQ). Based on administrative data provided by the RCAAQ and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ), this study stems from one of the main recommendations of the annual RCAAQ members’ forum held in 2022. It is intended to support a consultation process to clarify the current conditions and issues of human resources development in these centres. The analysis of the available data leads to a strategic reflection on the improvement of working conditions as well as to proposals for solutions to be explored during the upcoming consultation.
