Following the call for applications launched in winter 2025 for a new residency project at La Chapelle Scènes contemporaines and a new In Situ residency project, we are pleased to present the winners who caught the jury’s attention:
Pénélope Deraîche Dallaire (Collectif) | La Chapelle Scènes contemporaines
Through this residency, Pénélope will continue to develop La Louve ou toutes ces formes, an interdisciplinary project at the crossroads of ecopoetics, politics, and feminism. This intimate and sensory work explores the origins of our being and the persistence of the past through the prism of mental health.
Projets Postmarginal inc. | In Situ
Projets Postmarginal Inc. is a non-profit organization that explores, develops, and promotes creative works inspired by a plurality of relationships. This residency will allow them to continue their research and development toward a first draft of La Machine des sens, a 70-minute immersive and ambulatory theatrical experience.
Offered in collaboration with the Conseil des arts de Montréal, La Chapelle Scènes contemporaines and REPAIRE, these residencies are intended for collectives and organizations working in non-disciplinary practices. They allow them to finalize the creation of a work and ensure its production, both on La Chapelle’s main stage and in an in situ venue.
These residencies are an essential lever for supporting artistic research under optimal technical and financial conditions, thereby promoting the emergence of works that transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries.
